Maintaining a defibrillator is not as pricey as you may think. The battery life on many of our models such as the ZOLL defibrillator lasts for around 5 years, meaning less replacement parts, less general maintenance, and less overall low cost of ownership (provided it has not been used in a rescue). General maintenance is hassle-free with automatic self-testing to ensure the device is always ready for use. Batteries and pads need to be replaced when they have been used in a rescue or when they reach their expiration period. Defibrillator batteries and pads range from £20 to £300 to replace, depending on the model.
